Well we’ve had two freakout videos in a row, two Remi Gaillard prank videos in a row and so this week, (you guessed it!) we are going to make it two Modern Warfare 2 clips in a row!
This comes from the wonderful world of Machinima and is a celebration of all those times when players have gotten kills in the luckiest ways ever! FYI anyone who might end up against me online in the coming days, I will definitely be trying out number 2 on the list! Enjoy!
This time last week we survived a nuclear attack and luckily survived the explosion by getting to the highest point of Centre Point in London, odd I know.
We got our greasy hands on the title and played through a near finish build, we’ll be speaking about that in another preview which should be up sometime tomorrow (Friday).
We got an interview however. We had a chat with Dmitry Glukhovsky and Huw Beynon about the game!
This week we headed to the centre of London to go and check out the highly anticipated title, Alan Wake. We sat down with the game’s head of franchise development Oskari Häkkinen to talk about all the details you need to know about this amazing game.
We also got the thoughts of a few other journo’s while we were there, you know, just to get a bigger perspective about the game’s audience. Everyone was left blown away.
Special thanks to Remedy and a shout out to those featured at the end.
Well here comes this week’s Friday Funnies and my is it a good one!
I’m afraid it’s another freak-out but this one is surely the best yet! Can’t really tell what game the kid is playing but his older brothers decide to mess with him while he tries to play and the result is hilarious. Also, for a child who can’t be older than 10, he has a surprisingly large vocabulary. Enjoy!
Depending where you are, you may well have spent the whole of today freezing cold in the crazy snow, however, hopefully this week’s Friday Funnies will warm the cockles.
This week’s edition is a suggestion from our esteemed colleague Mr Watts, who loved this clip of a boy being disconnected from his Xbox Live (a pain we all know) but it’s the way he becomes disconnected as well as his reaction that makes it so funny! Enjoy!
The 2009 Spike Video Game Awards currently taking place in Los Angeles have today been the place where 4 different gaming franchises have been announced/confirmed/first seen!
First came an announcement by Activision and United Front Games for a third instalment in the True Crime series. The first was set in Los Angeles, the second in New York but this new one will leave the good old US-of-A to set sail for the shores of Hong Kong on an undercover mission to infiltrate the Triads. Release is so far slated for 2010.
Next, Samuel L Jackson took the stage to confirm Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 but unfortunately it was just that, a confirmation with no gameplay footage and no release date for it. (Although pre-Christmas 2010 seems more than likely at this stage).
Third was a first look at some footage for the next in the Medal Of Honour series which, as was announced last week, will be set in the modern age in Afghanistan. The shown trailer was very crisp and very pretty and bears a very strong resemblance to another recent, very successful shoot-em-up that some of you may have heard of? Best place to watch is here.
And last but not least (for now) was an announcement of a sequel to runaway hit Batman: Arkham Asylum. According to the trailer, it seems as if Arkham can no longer contain Gotham’s best and brightest scumbags and so the battle has poured out onto the streets, plus it looks as if some old friends are guaranteed to be in it! A website has also popped up for the new title, for now it is empty but we will keep an eye on it for any more details as they come.
Well, what a day so far! We will make sure to update you all on any new information on any titles as we get it!
Due to some unforeseen laptop-based problems yesterday, I was unable to post but it is now fixed so Friday Funnies are back! (Albeit a little late)
Today’s Friday Funny is 2 for the price of 1, a double whammy if you will. Both of these clips are from Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the first is possibly the best (and luckiest) kill I have ever seen and the second is possibly the worst (and not even successful) kill attempt I have ever seen! You may have seen them before but that doesn’t make them any less entertaining, enjoy!
