Halo: Reach still continues to hold quite a lot of mystery regarding how it will be different in comparison to other Halo titles, is this not quite Halo?

Some footage has been dropped onto the internet showing off Halo: Reach’s 2010 BETA bootup sequence. The ‘player’ goes about loading up the BETA and specifically shows off the ‘TIPS: Use the Murder Mode…’ he then goes about dropping the camera to black as soon as the game itself starts. It’s truely a conspiracy!

Check the video itself out at Kotaku, shout out to them as a source as well.

Sonic Adventure on XBLA

One of the most best selling games for the SEGA Dreamcast will be making it’s way to the Xbox Live Marketplace. Information of the game coming to the XBLA was leaked earlier this month by german blog site SEGAOnline but now the site has released another story about the game with screenshots from the XBLA version.

It’s revealed to be a port of the update to Sonic Adventure known as Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut released for the Gamecube (2003) and PC (2004), plus reveling an achievements list for all those achievement hunters to eye up on! Continue reading ‘Sonic Adventure is coming to XBLA’

Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling says DLC for Modern Warfare 2 is “planned for spring”.

Robert Bowling has had quite a bit of activity on his Twitter account over recent weeks/months, what with being a big part of the release of the obviously MASSIVE Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 earlier this month and today he was responding to questions about the Hardcore additions to the multiplayer going live today.

Through the course of my general rummaging, I noticed that one user had today asked him when DLC would be arriving, to which he responded…

“DLC is planned for the wonderfully vague timeframe of Spring. I’ll let you know when we know when it’ll be done.”

Although he doesn’t mention maps specifically, we already know that IW have two map packs planned and Spring would be a great time to release it; just as sales are slowing and the online community are used to the existing maps.

Obviously we will keep our ears to the ground and keep you updated with anything we find out over the coming months…

Kind of a shock the Halo ODST achievements have been leaked and that means someone has the game very very early or someone been up to no good and faked this whole video that’s why we are classing this as rumour for now.

A job posting made by Microsoft may have just let the cat out of the bag with the whole Motion sensing camera thing that was leaked over Engadget.

Are you interested in shipping innovative games that will change the way people play? If so, we want you to join our team to work on an amazing next-generation project, built from the ground up, in Microsoft Game Studios. We are building a NEW GAME STUDIO from the ground up that will revolutionize both WHAT you play and HOW you play. You have the chance to get in on the ground floor and work with professionals responsible for some of the industry’s greatest innovations to date. (Emphasis in the original.)

Now will we hear about the motion sensing thingy during Microsoft’s press conference this E3 lets hope so. Also there is going to be a new Microsoft gaming studio.

Okay let me start by saying this is completely rumour.

The guys over at engadget have received an anonyms tip from an anonyms tipster sating that the thing pictured above is an Xbox 360 Microsoft’s answer to the Wii and its that little white bar just underneath the TV its the 360’s own sensor bar. Unlike the Wii you won’t be using a remote to play your games you will using your full body as the sensor bar picks up a full range of body movements.

Here is the rumoured list of the type of things you will be able to do with the sensor bar.

  • Full body and hand gesture control of games / characters.
  • In fighting games you kick, punch, duck, dive, jump and so forth with your body.
  • It also picks up small hand gestures like pinching, grabbing and scrolling.
  • There will also be video conferencing and games with video.
  • Trivia game over the internet with live images of each person playing. When a question pops up, they can clap to buzz in.
  • You can "move objects on your screen" and the other party can see what you’re doing in real time.
  • Sensor detects only the person playing, not folks observing on the couch.

My hoax warning is going off right now but it would make sense for Microsoft to do something like this to compete against the Wii. Also nice carpet
