For those of you enjoyed the first game, you can now get your grapple hook on once more! Just Cause 2 has just jumped the Xbox Live Marketplace with a 1GB Demo!
As agent Rico Rodriguez, your orders are to find and kill your friend and mentor who has disappeared on the island paradise of Panau. With the unique grapple and parachute combo, BASE jump, hijack and create your own high-speed stunts. With 400 square miles of rugged terrain and hundreds of weapons and vehicles, Just Cause 2 defies gravity and belief.
Rico Rodriguez will be “dropping in” for a quick one on March 4th
That’s right folks, everyone’s favourite freedom fighter will be hijacking a helicopter, jumping out of it, flying through the air and then smashing his way into your living rooms on March 4th to show off his new freeroaming title.
Also of note, publisher Square Enix have said that this will be “one of the biggest freeroaming demos of all time” with a huge 35 square miles of landscape to explore at your will plus some light aircraft are included, along with other vehicles, so that you can do all the hijacking and flying through the air you like! (Well, if you have an Xbox 360, PS3 or PC, please don’t go out stealing aircraft!)
Ex BBC funnyman Jonathan Ross was in London recently playing a project Natal demo set up by Microsoft. The video was recorded and posted by Ross junior and shows the Friday Night host showing off his athletic prowess. However apparently the motion capture wasn’t up to scratch and still needs further development.
“I had a pretty large sample size, sitting through 5 demos, capturing about 40 different movements from a variety of journalists,” he said. “Across those 40 movements, the fastest life-to-screen transition was .08 seconds, while the slowest was .12 seconds. A tenth of a second was the consistent average, though.
“What that means is that, in its current state, Natal is not instant, one-to-one motion capture.”
Those Microsoft boffs better get their buts in gear as according to Mr Ross again Natal ships in October, “OK. Before bed. Natal on X Box impressive. Not quite there yet i think but they have til october and if they get it right…skys the limit..”
SEGA also announced yesterday that the demo for Yakuza 3 is now live on the PlayStation® Network.

It’s definitely been a while since we’ve seen a Tom Clancy shooter title, the last Tom Clancy game was EndWar (the ‘War’ to ‘End’ all wars). Advanced Warfighter came out in 2006! OMG indeed, with the sequel hitting the shelves in 2007.
Now for the future soldier!
Created by the award-winning team behind Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® 2, the game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.

The guys over at Rare headed up the Xbox Live Marketplace lettings us know that you’ll be able to take to the wheel with Banjo in the demo.
Yes, not only are Banjo and Kazooie set to appear in the final Xbox 360 version of the game, as of today you’ll be able to get an early feel for the spin of their wheels by downloading the free demo. It’s the first incidence of playable Banjo and Kazooie since Nuts & Bolts (or Banjo-Tooie on XBLA if you want to be picky) so it’s definitely worth franchise fans seizing this opportunity with both hairy paws.
We got our mucky pours on a preview build of the game a couple of months ago and I must say it is rather enjoyable! It’s a free demo of course, so what are you waiting for?
GAME today announced that Bad Company 2 will be getting an exclusive pre-order bonus with a multiplayer demo for the Xbox360, Playstation 3 and PC.
Obviously the Playstation 3 has already had it’s BETA so now it’s Microsoft’s turn to at least get a chance at the game? Although we believe it will be exactly the same demo which we played at Eurogamer last year.
Pre-order Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 and don’t forget there will be 3 week Demo access starting on the 4th February 2010!
The limited edition will set you back £39.99 and is available…now!
Those ruffian’s over at …Ruffian Games have just announced that Crackdown 2 will be getting a Demo at some point before it’s release – woohoo!
James Cope, a producer on the game, had an interview with the guys over at IGN and he was asked if we were to expect a demo sometime before the game’s release.
“You can definitely expect a demo to hit Live before the game is out but I can’t say when that will be… yet,” said Cope
“The Crackdown demo was fantastic and we want to carry on in that form.”
Pulse on the PSN revealed the top downloaded demos on PSN recently. I am not surprised that Uncharted 2 is appearing on high on this list. I am actually very surprised that it is not number one on the list, but then again I am sure that mainly every one on the Playstation 3 would of purchased it by now.
Here’s the list with some inspired Digbert commentary
1. Need for Speed: Shift – What the hell? 2. Uncharted 2 - If you haven’t brought it yet, Where have you been? 3. Brutal Legend – Still rocking! 4. Dragon Ball: Raging Blast – I’m surprised since its always the same game. 5. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time – Common guys, Clank is so cute. 6. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 – Looks like the Ninja has been caught and pushed to 6. 7. Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squad – Princess Leia loosing her “sex” appeal? 8. NBA 2K10 – Just chuck a ball in the hoop, not surprised its this low. 9. Undead Knights – Any one heard of this title? 10. Lost Planet 2 – Lost planet has Lost?
[EDIT] Just turned out that the PSN date is only for the US, expect it on the same day as the Xbox360 release in the UK.
