That’s right, the world famous snowboarder is set to enter the territory of the Skate series and a certain Mr Hawk!
Having just won his second Olympic Gold Medal for half-pipe snowboarding, you could be forgiven for being more than a little surprised that “The Red Tomato” Shaun White is set to be the star of a new skateboarding game.
However, it turns out that Mr White is also an accomplished skateboarder and Ubisoft are currently developing the title for PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 which is set for a Q4 release in 2010.
There are no screens or videos as of yet but we will get them to you as soon as they come in.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 confirmed as being released May 23rd…in North America at least.
That’s right, Nintendo have finally revealed today the release date for the highly anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2. Unfortunately for all you Mario (and Yoshi) fans out there, the May 23rd date is (so far) for North America only!
As for us European lot, as there is no confirmation just yet, our prediction is that it will follow either a few days/a week later or will be saved for June. Either way, one thing’s for sure: it will be a MASSIVE seller and (pretty likely) just as big a critical success as the first but of course only time will tell!
As usual, more info as soon as we have it!
UPDATE: Mark it in your diaries: Nintendo have since confirmed a European release date of June 11th
SEGA announced yesterday that the Nintendo platform-exclusive game – Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games has sold over 6 million units worldwide since its launch in October 2009.
With the Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony on February 12th marking the start of the Games themselves, SEGA has big plans to support the title across the globe with increased marketing activity. New television campaigns for the game are planned for North America (running from February 12 to 28th) and other major European territories including France, Benelux, Austria and the Nordic countries. As Olympic Winter Games fever hits, SEGA will also be participating in events celebrating the Games around the world in cities such as London, Washington DC and San Francisco.

That’s right; Halo Reach and Alan Wake both had final box art revealed today by the good people at Microsoft. With both of these titles predicted to be huge this year, it’s always good to see final pack shots because it (usually!) means that everything is (almost!) finished and mass production of the game discs can happen. So great news! However…
Possibly the game I am LEAST looking forward to this year is…
That’s right folks; it finally happened. Someone has actually paid money that could have been used to create something wonderful to instead purchase the license to produce a Dancing On Ice video game for Nintendo’s two main consoles.
The Wii version will be released on 12th March 2010 and the DS version in April so if you own a Wii and your birthday is in March, make sure to phone your dear old nan and tell her right now how much you want something else (BF: Bad Company 2, God Of War III, Moto GP 09/10, Just Cause 2) instead! Do it now!

Bad news if you are still buying your kind of old fashioned print gaming magazines.
What can be said for the old medium it had a good run but in this day and age with websites like our own where you can check out all the latest news and reviews on a daily basis and for FREE! why would you wait for your news on a monthly and PAY! for the luxury as well? Just look at these number posted by Future publishing, they seem to say it all:
- Edge: 29,007 (+0.4%)
- Games Master: 34,313 (-16.2%)
- Official Xbox 360 Magazine: 60,834 (-4.8%)
- OXM: 25,874 (-16.6%)
- OPM: 47,033 (-12.3%)
- PSM 3: 21,224 (-19%)
- PC Zone: 11,357 (-40.3%)
- PC Gamer: 26,487 (-18.8%)
- Official Nintendo Magazine: 51,271 (-12.8%)
- N Gamer: 12,499 (-29.8%)
Those numbers are for the whole of 2009 and they don’t look pretty unless you are the still great EDGE magazine who saw a rise in sales of +0.4%.
Future publishing spoke to VG247 and had this to say.
“A lot of media owners do annual ABCs, and some of our competitors do annual ABCs, so it’s not crazily out of context,” he said.
He added: “We chose to do annual because it’s what our nearest rival did, and obviously we didn’t feel there was a lot of point in spending all that money at that point halfway through the year and doing an ABC, but we maintain the fact that you should be open with your numbers. That’s why we’ve ABC’d all our mags, big and small.”
That a loss of over 12 percent decline in revenues to £36 million for the first quarter.

It turns out that this ‘Project Needlemouse’ thing is Sonic 4. However, it’s got a sub-title of Episode 1 therefore meaning it’s going to be episodic!
You’ll be able to continue your thirst for Sonic games this Summer on XBLA, PSN and somehow on the Wii!
We have all heard about rumours about the next Wii being fully HD but when CEO Saturo Iwata says that.
“If asked if making the Wii compatible with high definition – just making it compatible with high resolution – will get players throughout the world to buy it, I would of course say ‘do you think it would sell with just that? It needs something new’,” Iwata told investors
So yes this whole “will the next Wii be the Wii HD” then I think we can say yes it will be.
Wii HD in stores 2012 maybe 2015 or 2020 or when ever the money stops coming in.

EA have confirmed that there will be (drum roll please) a new Tiger Woods game titled Tiger Woods 11 coming out soon (I bet no one saw that coming at ALL!!!).
In the new game you will play as the man himself as you go to night clubs and try and sleep with as many women as possible before you’re wife finds out and chases you with one of your golf clubs.
Okay, so on serious note you play golf. The game is due out in the summer according to EA.
If you haven’t got enough plastic game attachments lying around your house, here is another one for you!
