This is what I was greeted with when checking for games at my local Zavvi.co.uk.

Tis sad news and hope they get on track soon, for everyone who uses Zavvi be sure to get your games for this Xmas elsewhere if you want them ASAP. :)

Ubisoft have confirmed that Assassins Creed 2 is underway, apparently the game is to set some time 1700s, hmm so no future ninjas snuffing people off?

Ubisoft have also suggested that the game could take place in The French Revoultion which would be fun to see some random villiagers running around shouting sacré bleu Assassin!

NewTopHat

Speaking with dreisechzig.net, Microsoft Europe’s Boris Schneider-Johne pointed out that.

For the first few weeks of the NXE’s life, there’ll be regular clothing updates for your avatars. And, more importantly, that they’ll be free. But after that? "It has not been announced."

In other words money money money, Microsoft would like to have your money NOW!!! please. On a serious note, are any of us shocked that the cool stuff will cost us all and arm and an a leg? No word on how many space bucks Microsoft points the good stuff will cost.

I still want a top hat for my avatar so hurry the hell up Microsoft!

Something big is happening on the Xbox front today….. The New Xbox Experience you say? Nah, that’s just laying the foundations for the really big stuff because avatars are now live on TFMX.co.uk! Look down at this and every post on the site and you’ll see a cool new NXE-style gamercard showing everything the old cards did, except now they have our avatars too!

I guess we all better hurry up and get the update so we can get our avatars sorted. After all, those silhouettes are very boring aren’t they? (plus, my hair looks nothing like that!)

The new evil AXIS forces of Vimeo have decided that they no longer wish to have us!

Obviously neither Nazis or evil robots Vimeo has recently enforced a whole ‘death to gameplay’ act which had us in a bit of a mood because we actually like Vimeo! Its a nice place to be on the Internet, away from WARRIC who doesn’t upload any yodeling videos.

However obviously we can no longer use Vimeo for our HD Gameplay needs, we must move on (onwards and upwards like they say!)

Its that time of year again…

Coming to a close of the massive release schedule this year (with only 2 weeks of game releases left!) we are currently looking at this years Award Cabinet. How are we going to fill it?

Think back at the year kids, there are a lot of games that came out and we are glad to say with have 80% of those games under the office roof.

How about looking back at last years winners? Straight from a notepad file…

Quality Reviews, Quality Podcast - A Great Podcast Motto

The office at TFMX gets cluttered with the amounts of games we have to shift through each and every week, so we slammed our heads together and thought of a solution.

Each and every Wednesday, along with the award winning XGM, expect another download to your generic RSS feed receiver known as ‘ReviewCast’ no space needed because we are that crazy. Rounding up the games of the past week and any XBLA\demos which have been out.

Myself will be hosting with different people each and every week! Along with your input of questions which we will answer on air! (xg[at]TFMX.co.uk)

See you there!

The Xg News team will be on holiday this week, do you blame us?

Well with Fable 2, Saints Row 2, Blitz The League 2, Far Cry 2 and Dead Space I think that’s a good enough excuse!

Plus every once in a while the team are doing other things, I know shock horror, but sometimes Capester does a bit of kayaking, WARRIC goes bird watching and Turbo plays heavy metal drums for the local pub band!

What a team ay.

EDIT: Next week’s show is on a TUESDAY
