Time to take the soldiers out of the box, and they don’t require assembly and painting!
With the Kaiser dealt with and the toy’s safely back in their box, it’s time to take a closer look at this XBLA game and see if the House Party has been kicked off in style. So with gun’s at the ready, we wait for the whistle to send us over the top, either to glory and victory or to certain death at the hands of the German guns. Even in a toy war there can be on only one winner, is Toy Soldiers a glorious success? Or a whimpering death rattle…
QuanticDream have returned once more to bring us yet another amazing story driven action thriller videogame\interactive movie experience! Yep, we really not quite sure what this game is but we do know that it has been worth the wait and If your a fan of Quantic’s work then you’ll be right at home.
Turn the lights off and make sure you have nowhere to go for the next 20 hours. So you can be immersed in this amazing experience.
We all sometimes get a little lost with all these big immersive games, we end up missing that ultra power-up hidden under the toilet seat which is hanging from a chandelier in room 5A. Thankfully with a city like Rapture the guys over at BradyGames have done all the searching for us! Excellent.
Bioshock 2 has a lot of things to do throughout the Single-Player experience, a lot of these things being hidden away in all the dark corridors. This guide is the equivalent to, lets say a ‘Hitchhikers Guide to Rapture’ obviously with less weird aliens and poorly done screenplay, yep I totally just took a stab at that film. Right lets open this friendly sized guide up and find out what’s its all about!
So Bioshock 2 has hit us but have we been pleasantly shocked into submission with utter gaming glee or spliced into genetic goo with disappointment?
The Sequel to 2K Games ‘Bioshock’ has been highly anticipated and hopes to bring the same amount of unrivalled immersive atmosphere, spooky goings on and compelling storyline and even match or surpass the amazing graphics from the first, Lets find out.
Ever wondered what Hell would be like? Imagine the screams and cries of the tortured souls being the only sounds you could hear, their battered bodies writhing in agony and roasting on the lake of fire being the only thing you can see.
Sounds awful doesn’t it? But now imagine you have a huge scythe, the power of religion and a beautiful woman to save. . . .suddenly it seems like a place i might like to go! So, ‘Abandon all hope, ye who enter here’ and let’s see if this is a heavenly triumph or a hellish mess.
Zaeed Massani doing what he does best. . .destroying things!
Mass Effect 2 is on the shelves and in our Xbox’s, and EA and Bio ware have decided to spice the game up with some free dlc (well, free in most cases!) in the shape of downloadable character Zaeed Massani and bonus mission ‘Normandy Crash Site’.
Add this to the Dragon Armour which came free with Dragon Age: Origins and we’ve already got a few tasty treats from the Mass Effect 2 world to tuck into! These are available via the Cerberus Network which is on the games main menu. So lock and load people (and aliens) and lets see if they are any good. . . .
If I had to describe this game I would have to use the word ‘Charming’ or what the hell was that noise? and why do I only have six rounds of ammo left after shooting that mutated dog that was already dead for the past five minutes?
So I have not done this for a while so I thought I would give the old written review side of my brain a little rest form being scared witless from Stalker Call of Pripyat.
We can safely say to all of you that Mass Effect 2 is the game that you have been expecting plus much much more. We can also go about saying that if you enjoy what BioWare has been putting out these past 6 months then you will be right at home. Many aspects of Dragon Age seem to lie under the belly of this sequel but that’s definitely a good thing!
BioWare have simply done it again but what of this Massive Project falls short? Or did 2 years of Biotic research all come together nicely in the end!
Having the ball usually means you’re about to be hit. Hard.
There will be blood! Cyanide Studios and Games Workshop have teamed up to create a videogame version of the superb board game Blood Bowl, but is it just for fan boys or is it accessible to everyone?
Blood Bowl is a mix of Warhammer the board game and an ultra violent version of American football, which on paper (and on a board) is great. There are 8 races to choose from; Humans, Orcs, Goblins, Dwarfs, Chaos, Wood Elves, Skaven and Lizardmen each with there own strengths, weaknesses, unique tactics and star players, but which of these psychotic breeds has what it takes to be Blood Bowl champion? And is the game worth playing to discover the answer?
Bro-tastic fun, fist bumps and star jumps. Army of Two: The 40th Day adds to the story’s of character’s Rios and Salem. Once more they seem to be in the wrong place and the wrong time…unlucky!
The Sequel to 2008’s Bro-tastic Army of Two see’s itself in The 40thday. Salem and Rios return for yet more adventure to keep us all entertained. Lets Fist-bump to that sha’ll we?
EA Montreal return to development once more to continue Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem’s crazy antics! Although is it really what we’ve wanted to ‘co-op-bro-out’ about. (Overuse of the word ‘Bro’ is fine in this context…)
