Game informer has got themselves the exclusive info on the upcoming Portal 2. The magazine features a good few page spreads which will be in the next issue. – We can’t go about showing them to you because, well that’s highly illegal.
Although featured in the article they do explain that Portal was seen as a “Trial” and that if all went well that they would have to make a game out of it all!
Details after the break!

Ubisoft ruined some people’s weekends, no one could play Assassin’s Creed 2 or Silent Hunter 5 on the PC, all thanks to their DRM hammer.
For those readers who didn’t know about Ubisoft’s take on PC DRM basically they want to make sure that naughty criminals can’t go about playing their games if they have acquired them ‘illegally’. To do this they have you establish a constant connection to the Ubisoft U-Play servers so you can play-through the game. Oh and if you haven’t got an internet connection to do so, you can’t play.
Last weekend, the servers were down = no one could play either of the 2 games. Not good Ubisoft!
A rep stated on Ubisoft’s official forum that:
“clearly the extended downtime and lengthy login issues are unacceptable and that the downtime is due to exceptional demand”.
Not fun times.
On Gamestop’s website they just let slip that they have got Portal 2 in their upcoming release database.
Description:
Coming this holiday. Portal 2 is the sequel to 2007’s Game of the Year and draws from the award-winning formula of innovative game play, story, and music that earned the original over 70 industry accolades. Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game.
Something to make you go boom! Mafia II have just slipped out another trailer to keep you happy while you wait for it’s release later this year.
Being a MASSIVE fan of the original just makes me want to play the second game even more. Shame I’m not from a Gangster Italian background.
That’s right, the world famous snowboarder is set to enter the territory of the Skate series and a certain Mr Hawk!
Having just won his second Olympic Gold Medal for half-pipe snowboarding, you could be forgiven for being more than a little surprised that “The Red Tomato” Shaun White is set to be the star of a new skateboarding game.
However, it turns out that Mr White is also an accomplished skateboarder and Ubisoft are currently developing the title for PC, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 which is set for a Q4 release in 2010.
There are no screens or videos as of yet but we will get them to you as soon as they come in.
2010 has already seen a string of great game releases and following in the footsteps of Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2 and Bayonetta comes this batch of potential hits. March will see the release of many titles, with new IPs and sequels aplenty. I pick 5 of the most promising.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 – March 5th (PS3/Xbox 360/PC)
The sequel to EA’s popular first-person shooter Battlefield Bad Company, BBC2 looks to improve on the foundations set by EA DICE in 2008 with improved multiplayer, new vehicles and an updated system providing entirely destructible environments. Argued by EA to be a strong competitor to Infinity Ward’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise, Bad Company 2 will see a 13-level single player campaign span numerous continents, featuring environments ranging from mountainous terrain along the Russian border to dense jungles in South America and even a desert.

Batman is one cool ass guy, so when given the option to allow his fans to view his amazing skills in 3D he happily returned with a 3D Falcon punch.
Square Enix’ London Studio announced today that the Game of the Year Edition of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum will include new technology which will offer the player to play in 3D with your standard HDTV. Hell yeah.
Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition adds a new dimension to the multi award-winning gameplay experience, with support for TriOviz 3D on both the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. TriOviz 3D is a patented 3D process which adds depth to the game, visible to players wearing the included 3D glasses. By leveraging the depth-of-field while maintaining the original gameplay and colour integrity, TriOviz 3D creates a far more immersive gaming experience, allowing console players to dive deeper into the gothic world of Arkham Asylum.
As well as also offering the already released challenge maps already on the disc!
Expanding the gameplay of the original boxed edition, the Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition comes with all six previously released Downloadable Content Challenge Maps on disc, giving players further opportunity to hone their combat skills. Gamers can face-off against Arkham Asylum’s toughest inmates in some of the iconic environs from the game such as the infamous Crime Alley and the insane Scarecrow Nightmare.
The Game of the Year edition will be available across Europe and other PAL territories from March 26th on Xbox360, PS3 and PC!
