We just got word from Eurogamer’s Expo Community Manager that sadly today’s announcement of this year’s Expo won’t be visiting Leeds. Our thoughts are with the north this morning.
“We’re as disappointed as everyone else that we won’t be returning to Leeds this year, however, there are various factors involved which means it isn’t possible.
We’re keen to return to the North at some point so I’m sure we’ll be back.”
To be fair on them they just booked Earls Court, yeah, Earls Frikkin’ Court! So all those northerners need to make a trip down south it seems this year!
2010’s Eurogamer Expo event will be hitting up Earls Court London October between the 1st and 3rd of October (EXTRA DAY this year!)
"Earls Court is another step up for the Eurogamer Expo," commented Rupert Loman, Managing Director of Eurogamer Network. "Our 2009 event was a sell-out in advance of the show and while our philosophy continues to revolve around sustainable and organic growth, moving to a bigger venue with all the facilities it has to offer allows us to put on a fantastic event for even more gamers.”
Currently no word announced for the venue up north (Last year’s Leeds) but we have been assured that the northerners of the UK are going to get a slice as well. We’ve dropped our Expo contact a line so we should have a comment sometime soon!
[UPDATE We just got word that Eurogamer Expo 2010 will not be attending Leeds – sorry!]
See you there then!
