Sega have released the Minimum System Specs for Creative Assembly’s  Empire: Total War and they are not to high so most people with a semi okay PC should be fine.

American giant Gamestop are placing a bid for half of Woolworths stores in the UK. Gamestop are planning to buy 815 stores that would place Gamestop as the largest UK specialist chain – eclipsing GAME’s 397 stores. But there is always a but Game also own 253 Gamestation outlets and 51 concessions.

This would be Gamestop’s baggiest step forward in there UK expansion plans.

A source said: “GAME frustrated GameStop when it bought GameStation. Bosses at GameStop had pretty much given up on launching a UK assault – but now, thanks to Woolies, that door is open again. They’re up against other bidders, but they’ll fight tooth and nail.”

Square have today launched a takeover bid for financially struggling Eidos. The takeover bid is part of square plan to crack the Western market with games that do not have the words "Final" and "Fantasy" in them so they are trying to buy up the home of the one the only Lara croft. But Eidos are also in talks with Warner Bros who already holds a stake of 20% in the company.

Square boss Yoichi Wada has already visited Eidos-owned IO Interactive and will be coming back to the UK to "move the deal forward".

Microsoft have confirmed that the rumoured “Jasper” does in fact have 256MB of internal storage speaking to 360 Fanboy a Microsoft spokesman or women (lets not be sexist) said.

"We can confirm that we are moving to internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade. The physical internal memory is the same size as the previous external memory units – 256MB."

Those lucky Arcade owners that should be enough inbuilt memory to at lest install about 10 games or so RIGHT!!!. WORNG I read some were that the NXE or what ever its called now is 256MB it self so you will still have to buy a MU or a hard drive to make the most out of your lovely 360 console.

Here is a phrase that Sony should be proud of Sony has delayed another product (SHOCK). Socom Confrontation has been delayed in Europe (Quick question does Europe exist to Sony) and will not be hitting store shelves until "early 2009," according to Eurogamer. The game is already out in the states a little buggy okay I lied about it being a little buggy how about very buggy very very buggy. The game will be bundled with the official PS3 Bluetooth headset, just like it did in America.

Hopefully Sony has only delayed the game until they resolve any issues that are still causing any issues. Quick note to Sony please do not delay Killzone2 pretty please with a cherry on top.

Epic have finally patched the Gears of war 2 matchmaking system and is now available VIA Xbox live. The patch should fix any agonising wait times encountered during the matchmaking progress, as well as a few other bits and pieces here and there.

As promised by Bethesda Softworks Fallout 3 DLC is very much on its way but more to the point is how quick we are going to receive more content for the game. Bethesda Softworks announced today that the PC version of the game will be the first version to receive any extra content.

“We’ve always seen the original world of Fallout 3 as a foundation for even more content. Some created by us, and a lot more created by users,” said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. “It’s fun to create your own character, but it can be equally fun to create your own adventures. We can’t wait to see what the community does with the G.E.C.K.”

The Garden of Eden Creation Kit will let users create, modify, and edit any data for use with Fallout 3, from building landscapes, towns, and locations to writing dialogue, creating characters, weapons and creatures.

Gearbox’s Aliens: Colonial marines a game that should make Left 4 dead looks tame and stupid has been reported as cancelled. Gearbox’s president, Randy Pitchford, has stated the game has not been "canned." So what in hell is happening well the game has since it has "halted" in production and the reason for this because Gearbox have let go of 15-25 employees. Shacknews reported that this is mainly due to the poor sales of the brother in arms: hell’s highway. Aliens: Colonial marines should be every gamers wet dream 4 player online CO-OP Alien kill fest. Watch out Syke there a face hugger just in front of you to late man its GAME OVER MAN GAME OVER.
