XG247 @HALO LEGENDS

Just days after the Dante’s Inferno premiere Xtreme Gaming 24/7 was back in London attending the Halo Legends screening.

For those unfamiliar with the upcoming DVD, Halo Legends is a collection of eight episodes exploring the mystery and action of the Halo Universe. Some of the finest talent in Japanese animation were recruited for the project and you’ll be familiar with some of their work such as Animatrix and Batman Gotham Knight. Just like Animatrix, each episode is unique not only in storyline but also visual and drawing styles.

The production company describe the project as……

“Sweeping science-fiction saga delves into the rich Halo universe with seven exciting stories (told in eight parts) focused on Master Chief’s mysterious origins, the Spartans’ advanced combat capabilities and the tense rivalry between Spartans and Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs). Created in collaboration with some of the world’s leading animators from Japan, Halo Legends draws you into the center of humankind’s ongoing battles with the Covenant, dynamically depicted in cutting-edge animation styles that delivers breathtaking visuals and gripping adventure. Go beyond the game – and join the roll call of Halo Legends.”

So you may or may not of heard of a little know PC game call Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl and how it was and still is by a long shot the most atmospheric games of all time, with one of the best down right weird ass storylines ever to grace the world of videogames.

Well, that was 3 and a bit years ago and now its time for the sequel ‘Call of Pripyat’ and as Stalker is one of my favourite games ever I would try and bring some of its weird ass story to you for as cheap as possible.

Shopto.net – £19.95
Play.com – £17.99
