Ratchet and Clank certainly is a cracking time, the return of Sony’s beloved hero’s are back in their new title Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time… Clank is so cute!
On the scene playing the game along side me today and providing an interview is a friend of mine veteran gamer Jay Wheeler who spent his time playing the game in-depth and letting me know some of his views on the game.
So Jay what do you think of Ratchet And Clank Future: A Crack In Time?
Jay Wheeler: Ratchet and Clank starts with a very humorous animated sequence adding to the playfulness of the game. After the brief introduction, You are placed in the shallow end, with an easy to follow tutorial. This is a helpful way to get familiar with the controls. They are not particularly difficult to master, any Playstation user should find it a breeze.
Yet again, returning to the press office at Eurogamer 09 I have found myself in tears of joy! Checking out games that I thought look good, to find out they play amazingly! In this case, Split\Second.
As well as the video footage which we just cam’d (coming up shortly) we all found ourselves thinking the same thing, where and when can we pick up this game and watch the most amazing explosions go off while your driving along!? Where!

Just living a normal day in my regular life going into a convenience store to grab an inhaler, yeah I’m having trouble breathing. All of a sudden a robber points a gun at the convenience store owner. I don’t panic…… I just want my inhaler….Its allergy season. I try reasoning with him and letting him change his mind, no strings attached. He doesn’t listen to much and gets distracted….I just wanted a dam inhaler…. I creep forward taking him to the ground introducing his face to my fisty friends Law and Order. Job done, I go home with the inhaler and eat some doughnuts
That’s exactly what transpires in this mini campaign preview, well except for the agent going home and eating some doughnuts and well its presented better than my words could ever imagine.
The game is set out in a sequence based genre, this means that the whole game is revolved around pushing buttons at specific times producing various stunning cinematic actions portrayed in the game. Heavy Rain is defiantly very unique and there is not many games like it on the market, heck I can’t even say I have played a game like this so I am very intrigued.
After just being on the show floor queuing for 20mins I have returned to post this with my mouth wide open. The game was quite simply, amazing.
Although the code for the game was the same from the TGS this year, it still held the basis of Assassin’s Creed goodness. The game, set in the lovely surroundings of Venice, is astonishing to walk around in. More activities are going on with the pedestrians and with the account of money into the game, it really has added some new features.
So I want to ask how much is a lot of money? Is 50p down the back of the sofa a lot? Could it be £1 million in the local betting office? For the answer ask the guys over at Sony.
Sony have released there Q2 financials today and have lost a massive $4,695,000,202 since the PS3 was launched back in 2007 (Memories).
It’s no wonder now why it took so long for the PS3 price cut.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been a huge fan of the Battlefield series. Some of my first and most memorable online gaming was performed on Battlefield 2 on the PC. It was the first time I’d been in a clan, and the multiplayer with it’s variety of vehicles and classes and the great camaraderie of being able to talk to the members of your team made it a great gaming experience.
And now comes Battlefield Bad Company 2. I managed to get a few rounds of multiplayer in with Thrungus and JPWB and we were not disappointed. The selection of classes and vehicles was again incredibly varied, from one man quads like the one seen above to a selection of tanks, jeeps and choppers which could accommodate 3 or 4 members of the same team. The fire power and weaponry of the vehicles was best exploited when you had a few of the team in the same vehicle, with the tank having a large turret mounted cannon capable of taking out enemy vehicles and a machine gun mounted on top for a second player to mow down enemy squads.
Tekken 6 is obviously the 6th instalment to the franchise and its first time debut appearance on the Xbox 360, But is it worth purchasing?
Getting down to the Eurogamer 09 underground where all the players are battling it out to show of their Tekken skills with the power of Law! we bring you the answer.
If your new to the franchise and have never picked up a Tekken game, I would still like to ask you this question… WHY HAVEN’T YOU PLAYED IT!. Tekken as most of us know was launched on the PS1 and has grown extravagantly over the past decade. Sony fan boys were crushed at the fact hearing the news that it was making its way to Xbox 360 since it has had an exclusive home at Sony for a long time.
So this Saw game has been out in the states for a while, however, over here we have yet to been attacked by the jigsaw puzzle merchant, damn.
I’ve always said that I was one to look into SAW, even though while saying this I did find myself hiding in a closet when announcing this to the team, as to be fair its not really cool to like movie-tie in games!
The game takes the approach of that cop that got shot in the first film (towards the end), well he’s still alive apparently. The game found myself in some sort of inane asylum, with some dudes who had also been captured by Jigsaw man, that’s how I like to think of him. Everything is very dark and it’s pretty hard to keep track of anything going on, especially with all the crazy moaning and groaning. Expect to find yourself following a linear path of quicktime events, lovely.
