You know all these rhythm games? Well we clearly don’t have enough of them by now, right? Well Band Hero is coming this Autumn and you know how we love our fake instruments? Well please sir, have some more! – Redesign number 2375?
The revamped drum kit controller features an improved and visually compelling ‘floating’ drum pad design with quiet drum heads and easy access first party controls for additional flexibility when navigating the game. The updated kick pedal offers players a new level of responsiveness while drumming along to the music, as well as two built-in kick pedal ports, so players can bang out the double bass beats of Expert+ drum tracks that will be available via downloadable content and song importing. The new drum kit controller also features a handy slot for players to store their drumsticks under the drum pads. The entire unit rests upon a newly designed stand offering stability as well as height guides on the vertical supports to make adjustments a breeze.
In addition, the guitar controller shipping with Band Hero in Europe will also feature an improved strum bar and the neck slider to help with accuracy when nailing those tricky solos. The guitar controller is finished off with chrome effect tuning pegs and a sleek red and white faceplate to let Band Hero players strum in style.
We do like it here @ TFMX when the television talks some sense, espcially when someone representing the BBC is actually one of us, by that we mean ‘cool’. Charlie Brooker (the man behind Dead Set) will now take over and discuss the hilarities of gaming!

Joseph Staten, a writer for the Halo series, has said to the OXM US magazine that Halo 3: ODST has really dropped some hints and connections for next year’s Halo Reach
“The Halo Universe has always had these interconnections but when we made ODST we had the luxury of knowing the Halo game we were going to make next. So it made a lot of sense to us to put those kind of connections in,” said Staten.
The ODST character Buck is a war veteran from the events of Reach, although Staten wasn’t too sure if he’ll show up in Halo Reach;
“Buck has very specific lines about what he witnessed on planet Reach and we absolutely wanted to telegraph some of that stuff. Whether or not he’s going to show up in Halo Reach we’re not talking about / have no idea.”
The thing that bewilders me, is the fact that we can all find out, right now, how Halo Reach begins\ends – It’s in one of those old-school book things, you know, paper?
Does Bungie’s effort into showing off the Spec Ops talents of the UNSC ODST give us Shock and Awe or just Awfully Shocking? Read on to find out!
Halo 3: ODST expands on the events of Halo 2 and rather than giving us Master Chief, it opts to show us the lacklustre abilities of the UNSC in the war! Developed by Bungie and utilising a tweaked version of the Halo 3 engine, don’t come here expecting what you got in previous outings, this is a different barrel of fish! Amusingly though, you are the fish and the enemies have never taken so much glee shooting you, grenading you and just generally being unfriendly!
