If, like me, you’ve been cramming in the wonders of Killzone 2 over the past few days, you’ll no doubt have experienced many of the game’s awesome guns and the firepower they hold. And, as I’m sure, you’d love to get your hands on one.
So you’ll be pleased to know that Sony have decided to create a bunch of replicas of the Helghast StA52 Assault Rifle and are making them available to win. Over the first 14 days of March, Sony will be following Killzone’s online leaderboards and giving away one of these unique replicas away each day. Winners will be chosen from both single and mulitplayer modes, across a number of categories.
So if you want to get your hands on one of these bad boys, make sure you’re playing in the first 2 weeks of March. You have under 2 hours to wait, don’t say you weren’t warned!
To say Final Fantasy XIII is eagerly anticipated is an understatement. And its no secret that the game isn’t going to be hitting our consoles this year, certainly not in NA/PAL regions anyway. Square Enix has released multitudes of screenshots and several trailers, with the latest now available for viewing at their Official Site, or downloadable from the PSN Store.
This latest trailer once again depicts beautiful landscapes and stunning graphics. We are given another glimpse of the impressive battle system and with fights against huge cyborg creatures and the like shown, the trailer is rather impressive to say the least.
Entitled ‘The Real Rhino Tank Trailer’ it really puts into perspective how big a ‘Rhino Tank’ really is. Thankfully the worlds of Dawn of War II are not real and we can all breathe easy thinking that our cars will not be destroyed if parked on a lonely field in Winchester.
Shame though, that car only had 1 more payment until its retirement
Don’t forget to pre-order the long awaited Halo Wars, right now! As ever free delivery on both standard and limited editions, plus, we have found you the cheapest prices on the internet! Aren’t we amazing?
In the latest move by Sony to push it’s high definition Blu-Ray format, the company is looking towards the possibility of bundling PS3 games and Blu-Ray movies on the same disc. With countless games-based-on-movies and movies-based-on-games already around and with plenty more on the way, this seems like a bold move by Sony.
In an effort to further prove the power of the Blu-Ray to the masses, they could be on to something with this time and money saver. John Koller, director of hardware marketing at Sony for the PS3 says this move will be seen sooner rather than later; “We are actively pushing, and the way that we see the future is that the movie and the game are placed on the same disc. There are a lot of developers who say, we have this game based on a movie, wouldn’t it be great to marry these concepts? We will definitely see this stuff this year.”
Games more often than not only take up 20-30GB of a Blu-Ray disc’s 50GB storage space so the idea is by no means farfetched and with Sony already in talks with studios to offer such packages, the concept is definitely being developed.
Expect to see these packaged deals hit the shelves sometime in 2009.
