Mr Nelson’s kids are in tears, turns out currently (08:39am BST) Xbox Live is still down,
“The LIVE maintenance is taking longer thank expected.”
SO yeah, just bare with it.

Looks like the rumours that the new 360 dashboard is being released 29th September have been smashed into a million little pieces. If the advert posted above is to be believed, the new Xbox Experience is coming this November. However, as we all know, Harmonix are the not the best with release dates are they? Hopefully we will hear from Microsoft some time this week so at least I know when I can start making my ballerina avatar!

Well, I somehow managed to get myself a code for the LPB beta from the jaws of doom aka Eurogamer.net (500 server error FTL).
Let’s start from the very beginning of the beta, one of the first things that really stands out is Stephen Fry’s voiceover. He has got to be one the best in game voices I have ever heard! If you are British you will not stop laughing as his voice guides you though the game fantastically. Okay, less about Stephen fry (GOD) and more about LBP.
The controls feel very weird for the first 5 or so minutes but you soon get the hang of it. The jump feels fine; just as sharp as Nintendo’s Mario games. The only reason I point the jump out is because during the closed beta the jumping in the game was not very well received. Graphically, the game is no Gears of War 2 or Mirrors Edge but it does look fantastic, albeit with a few jaggies here and there.

Halo 3 Update 2 Has Landed
Today marks the long awaited arrival of “TU2” for Halo 3. Despite plenty of rumors to the contrary, this update is not ushering in a new “BR spread,” nor does it incorporate enemy AI and campaign components to the Forge map editor. However, beyond the behind-the-scenes technical implications, there are two major components for fans to note.
New Achievements!
The most exciting piece of the update for many of you is the addition of TEN brand new achievements to Halo 3. We’ve covered these in detail in prior weekly updates but in case you’re just joining us, you forgot, or you’re just too lazy to go back and read… here’s the full list:
